Long-term Care Quality
While we graded this facility extremely poorly overall, it received a better long-term care grade this year. We gave it a C in that area. In a long-term care environment, the primary goal is to maintain residents' quality of life and keep them safe. After considering the volume of care provided by nurses, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination records. We were optimistic to find that this nursing home vaccinated 93.92447 percent of its residents for pneumonia. This place keeps its residents out of the hospital. It had only 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.
Facility Inspections
As it turns out, its inspection reports were not the source of this nursing home's abysmal overall grade. It received a C in this category. We believe that one of the most critical factors in evaluating an inspection report is deficiencies. We especially focus on the severity of the deficiencies. This facility was assessed 5 deficiencies on its government inspection report, but fortunately none were in categories G through L. This means that CMS didn't deem any of the deficiencies to present an imminent risk to resident safety or health. Finally, CMS cited this nursing home for possible abuse or neglect. Hopefully, its performance improves in the future, but until then we simply can't recommend this facility.

Nurse Quality
We gave this facility a grade of just D for our nursing rating. We scrutinized the qualifications of nurses at the nursing home, in addition to the number of hours those nurses worked with patients, in calculating our score in this category. This facility provided just 0.1 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a very low total compared to most nursing homes. Finally, we also looked at some nursing quality measures in computing our nursing ratings. This facility fared well when it comes to avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these metrics to be reliable measures of the quality of nursing care.
Short-term Care Quality
The last category we looked at is short-term care. This facility was given a poor grade of F in this category. Our short-term care scores are meaningful for individuals needing rehabilitation. Rehabilitation typically mandates more skilled nursing services. This includes a vast spectrum of nursing services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, as well as other forms of therapy. With a score in this range in this category, we were not surprised to learn this place was below average in multiple staffing metrics we looked at. The facility supplied substantially fewer registered nurse and physical therapist hours per patient than most nursing homes. Lastly, we looked at the number of patients that returned home from this nursing home. This nursing home didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 0 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home.
