We really couldn't find anything good to say about this facility. It received a D in the area of long-term care. Sadly, this was its best category. For residents looking for a permanent place to live as opposed to rehabilitation, long-term care is a very important category. Once we concluded our assessment of the quantity of care provided by nurses, we next considered the nursing home's vaccination statistics. We were pleased to learn that this facility vaccinated 97.25363 percent of its residents against pneumonia. Surprisingly, this facility also fared well at keeping its residents out of the hospital. In fact, it had only 0.02 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days. Sadly, a few of its other scores in the category weren't as favorable as these.

One of the other reasons we graded this nursing home so highly is that it earned a very impressive nursing rating. In that area, we awarded this facility an F. The nursing category includes a handful of factors, most of which are based on nursing hours. This nursing home averaged a meager 0.1 hours of nursing care per patient per day. Finally, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in calculating our nursing scores. This nursing home fared well when it comes to minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers.

Among this facility's alarming category grades was an F for its inspection grade. More often than not, this means we found some red flags on the facility's inspection reports. For places that received this bad of an inspection rating, we would scrutinize the severe deficiencies on its inspection report. This facility was hit with 5 deficiencies on its inspection report. The only favorable thing we can say is that none of the deficiencies were in the categories that indicate they created a threat to patient health or safety. Finally, this facility was cited by CMS for possible abuse or neglect. We would not recommend this facility under any circumstance.

Sadly, it received an F in this area, which is obviously a major disappointment. Short-term care grades are generally employed to grade a facility's performance with rehabilitation. In order to offer high-end rehabilitation services, facilities generally must provide better levels of highly skilled nursing. These types of services include registered nurses, physical therapists, respiratory therapists and other highly trained professionals. Based on its abysmal grade in this area, we weren't shocked to find this facility provides far fewer registered nurse and physical therapist hours per patient than most other nursing homes. The final metric we assessed in this category is the number of patients who were able to leave the nursing home and return to the community. We discovered that just 0 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home, which is well below average. The combination of these subpar statistics sunk this nursing home's short-term care score.
