The main thing propping up this facility's profile is its elite nursing grade. In fact, we gave this nursing home an A in that category. We also gave this facility a solid grade in the category of short-term care, where we awarded it a B-. Our short-term care scores are vital for people looking for rehabilitation. Rehabilitation generally utilizes higher levels of skilled nursing. Skilled nursing includes a vast scope of nursing services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, as well as other forms of therapy. The key is determining what effect this had on the quality of care. Lastly, we assessed the number of residents who were able to return to the community from this facility. We found that 4.7 percent of this facility's residents returned home. At most nursing homes, closer to half of their patients are able to return home so this figure is below average.

Long-term Care Quality

We also gave this nursing home a solid score in the area of long-term care, where we awarded it a C. With our long-term care score, we weigh the volume of services offered by a nursing home, along with a series of qualitative measures. In addition to assessing the quantity of care provided by nurses and other staff, we analyzed the percentage of residents vaccinated against pneumonia.
