Facility Inspections
We would like to point out that this facility's inspection grade exceeded its overall grade. This facility earned a grade of B+ in this category, which is a quality score. Our inspection grades are tied to many items found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that score well in this category have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. Surprisingly, this nursing home was assessed a category L deficiency, which was unexpected given its inspection rating. This category of deficiency means inspectors identified a widespread deficiency putting patient health or safety in imminent jeopardy. While other aspects of this nursing home's inspection report were favorable, we have some reservations.
Nurse Quality
In addition, we awarded this nursing home a grade of B in our nursing category. This is one of our better grades. Nursing ratings are largely tied to the facility's level of nurse staffing. This nursing home provides 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This place performed very well in terms of avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Short-term Care Quality
This facility's next best area was short-term care. In that area, we gave this facility a grade of B-. In the area of short-term care, we seek to assess measures of a nursing home's rehabilitation services. We look at a facility's skilled nursing services, including the ones performed by registered nurses and physical and occupational therapists. We found that this facility was below average in the two key staffing areas we looked at. It provided fewer physical therapist and registered nurse hours per resident than most other facilities. It is important to determine whether this is adversely impacting the quality of care. The last item we considered in this category is the percentage of patients that eventually returned home from the nursing home. We found that just 0 percent of this facility's residents returned home.
Long-term Care Quality
Turning to our last category, this nursing home really didn't fare very well. Due to a very poor grade of F in long-term care, this is this facility's weakest category. Nursing homes that do not fare well in long-term care typically aren't as well-staffed and are lagging in some of the areas of routine healthcare services we assessed. After considering the volume of care provided by nurses, we then looked at the facility's vaccination statistics. We were a bit concerned this facility vaccinated just 59.322033 percent of its patients for pneumonia. To our surprise, this facility was actually decent at keeping its patients out of the hospital. In fact, it had just 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days. This was its best score in this category.
