Fortunately, it appear that this facility employs registered nurses. Not all facilities employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, according to the information this nursing home provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Lastly, we considered the percentage of patients who were able to return to the community from this nursing home. We found that 6.4 percent of this facility's residents returned home.

The next highest grade we gave this nursing home came in the category of nursing, where we gave it a grade of B-. This wasn't quite as good as some of its other scores, but a grade in this range is not the end of the world. Nursing scores are based in large part on levels of nurse staffing. This nursing home provides 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident on a daily basis. This is a much lower figure than we are used to seeing. Despite having low quantities of nursing care, this facility fared better in some of the quality-based metrics we assessed. In fact, it scored well in terms of avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers.

The next area we scored was long-term care, which proved to be this facility's weakest area. We gave it an F for this area, which is certainly a bit concerning. For prospective residents in need of a permanent residence as opposed to rehabilitation, long-term care grades are an important measure. After considering the quantity of care provided by aids and other staff, we turned to the nursing home's vaccination record. We were optimistic to find that this facility vaccinated 99.32886 percent of its residents against pneumonia. To our surprise, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. With only 0.02 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, this nursing home had fewer hospitalizations than the majority of nursing homes. Sadly, some of its other scores in this category weren't as favorable as these.
