Long-term care ratings in this range generally require both around the clock care from nurses and aids, as well as quality routine medical care. Once we assessed the quantity of care provided by nurses, we then looked at the nursing home's vaccination statistics. This nursing home vaccinated 99.79798 percent of its residents against pneumonia, which is very impressive. Pneumonia is often a life or death ailment for nursing home patients so we like it when a nursing home does not take any chances. Finally, this nursing home was able to limit hospitalizations. Indeed, it had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: B

The final category we assessed was short-term care. We gave this nursing home one of our better grades in that area, with a grade of B. This facility proved to be relatively strong across the board. Our short-term care grades are based on a facility's quantity of highly-skilled highly skilled professionals. This includes a wide scope of services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, not to mention other forms of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not every nursing home employs these skilled professionals. However, based on the information they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Finally, we assessed the number of residents who eventually returned home from this nursing home. We found that 4.7 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home.
