To go along with its strong overall grade, we awarded this nursing home an A- for our long-term care rating. Long-term care ratings of this caliber generally require both 24/7 care from nurses and aids, as well as quality routine healthcare services. After looking at the amount of care provided by nurses and other staff, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination data. This facility vaccinated 100 percent of its patients against pneumonia, which is significantly higher than most nursing homes. Finally, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. It had only 0 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.

Adding to its impressive category grades, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A- for our inspections rating. Our inspection grades are tied to pieces of information located in the a nursing home's government inspections. Facilities that score well in this category tend to have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. Although this place had some deficiencies on its government inspection report, none of them were severe based on CMS' deficiency scale. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

The next highest grade we gave this nursing home came in the category of nursing, where we gave it a grade of B-. This wasn't quite as good as some of its other scores, but a grade in this range is not the end of the world. The nursing rating includes several datapoints, many of which are associated with quantities of nurse staffing. This nursing home provides 0.2 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a much lower figure than we are used to seeing. Lastly, although this nursing home got docked a bit for its nursing hours, it actually excelled in a few of our quality-based metrics. With less than five percent of its residents suffering from pressure ulcers, it did very well in this statistic.

Short-term care scores are based on the nursing home's quantity of skilled highly skilled professionals. This includes a broad range of services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, as well as other forms of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not every nursing home employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, according to the data they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Lastly, we assessed the number of residents who returned home from this facility. We found that 0 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home. This figure was actually well below the national average.
