Facility Inspections
This nursing home earned a solid overall grade as described above, but we really wanted to emphasize its nearly flawless government inspections in recent years. We awarded them an impressive grade of A in this category. Our inspection scores are tied to items located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that receive favorable grades in this category have few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these places generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. While this place had some deficiencies on its report, none of them were severe based on CMS' deficiency scale. A couple of minor deficiencies should not stop you from considering a nursing home.
Short-term Care Quality
This facility also was awarded an impressive grade in our short-term care category. We gave this facility a better than average grade of B in that category. Short-term care ratings are based in part on the facility's quantity of highly-skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This includes a broad range of services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, as well as other forms of therapy. We were not able to find information on registered nurse or physical therapy staffing for this nursing home. Lastly, we assessed the percentage of patients that returned home from this nursing home. We found that 5.8 percent of this nursing home's residents returned home.

Long-term Care Quality
Unfortunately, this facility's next best score is long-term care. However, with a grade of D in this area, it still fared somewhat badly. If you are looking for services other than short-term rehabilitation, you should take a close look at each nursing home's long-term care scores. In addition to considering the amount of care provided by aids and other staff, we looked at the percentage of residents vaccinated for pneumonia. Fortunately, this nursing home provided the vaccine to 99.64476 percent of its patients, which is a very solid percentage. Surprisingly, this nursing home also keeps its patients out of the hospital. Indeed, it had just 0.02 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days. Unfortunately, a few of its other scores in this category weren't as favorable as these.
Nurse Quality
This nursing home's worst area was nursing, which is the final area we assessed. Sadly, it received an F in this category. Even with some solid grades in other categories, this grade is still alarming so we felt obligated to point it out. Nursing grades are heavily correlated with quantity of nursing care available. This facility provided just 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a very low total compared to most nursing homes. In addition to its subpar nursing hour totals, this facility received poor marks in some of the quality-based measures we looked at in computing our nursing ratings. We found that more of this facility's patients experienced falls leading to serious injury. We would argue that many falls could be avoided with better nursing care. This metric contributed to this nursing home receiving a terrible nursing grade.
