Short-term Care Quality
To go along with its strong overall grade, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A for our short-term care grade. Short-term care grades are typically used to measure a nursing home's rehabilitation services. To offer high-end rehabilitation services, facilities generally must provide higher levels of highly skilled nursing. Skilled nursing includes registered nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists and other types of therapists. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not all facilities employs these skilled professionals. However, according to the data they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. The final statistic we assessed in this area is the number of patients who were able to leave the facility and return home. We discovered that 6.5 percent of this nursing home's residents were able to return home.
Facility Inspections
This nursing home also excelled in the area of inspections. We awarded it an A for that category. Inspection ratings are based on several datapoints found on the a nursing home's recent inspections. Nursing homes that excel in this category have few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. It does not look like we were able to find deficiency data for this facility. We wish we had more data for this facility. Without complete deficiency data, it was challenging to fully grade this facility in the inspections category.

Nurse Quality
This facility is also strong in the area of nursing, where it received a grade of B. It outperformed most nursing homes in this category. In calculating a nursing home's nursing score, we consider the number of hours nurses commit to residents and the skill levels of the nurses. This nursing home provides 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, our nursing grades also factor in quality-based assessments, such as avoiding major falls. This nursing home performed well in this area. Avoiding major falls is typically a good indicator that a place has reliable quality controls in place. Major falls can generally be avoided if more nurses aids and better safety protocols are in place.
Long-term Care Quality
This facility's least impressive area was long-term care, which is the last area we analyzed. It received a lowly F in this category. In spite of multiple favorable grades in other categories, this grade is nevertheless a bit concerning so we felt obligated to draw your attention to it. For patients in need of a permanent residence rather than rehabilitation, long-term care is an important category. Once we assessed the quantity of nursing care, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination records. We were optimistic to find that this nursing home vaccinates 95.21277 percent of its residents against pneumonia. To our surprise, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0.01 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, this nursing home has less hospitalizations than the average nursing home. Sadly, a few of its other scores in this category weren't as favorable as these.
