Facility Inspections
To go along with its strong overall grade, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A+ for our inspections rating. These inspection grades weigh several factors, including deficiencies and substantiated complaints. You can find more information about each of these factors by obtaining copies of nursing homes' inspection reports. This place was assessed 3 deficiencies on its inspection report, but we were relieved to see that none of the deficiencies were considered to be severe deficiencies. This indicates that CMS didn't consider any of the deficiencies to be an imminent risk to resident safety or health. A couple minor deficiencies are not necessarily something to panic about.
Short-term Care Quality
Compounding its high-end accomplishments in other areas, we gave this nursing home a score of A for our short-term care rating. Our short-term care grades are thought to be most critical for folks requiring a nursing home for rehabilitation. Rehabilitation usually requires additional skilled nursing services. This includes not only nursing, but also physical and respiratory therapy, as well as other forms of therapy. Fortunately, it looks like this facility has registered nurses on staff. Not all nursing homes employs these skilled professionals. On the other hand, based on the information they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. Finally, we considered the percentage of residents that returned home from this nursing home. We found that 5.8 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home.

Nurse Quality
To complement its strong performance in other areas, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A+ for our inspections rating. Our nursing grade features many subcategories. The most heavily weighted variable is the number of hours nurses spend with residents. This nursing home provides 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing grades. This nursing home performed very well when it comes to avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.
Long-term Care Quality
The next category we assessed was long-term care. This facility received a strong long-term care grade this year, with a grade of C. Although this is not quite as elite as some of its other grades, this is still a decent score for that area. In computing these long-term care grades, we look at the nursing home's ability to maintain its permanent residents' health and quality of life. One of the criteria we considered in addition to nurse's aid hours is vaccines. We were a bit alarmed this nursing home provided the pneumonia vaccination to just 66.95652 percent of its residents. Nevertheless, this nursing home keeps its patients out of the hospital. It had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low figure.
