Our nursing rating weighs quite a few subcategories, but the main consideration is the level of nurse hours spent with patients. This nursing home provides 3.8 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Finally, our nursing grades also factor in quality-based assessments, such as avoiding major falls. This facility performed better than average in this area. This is often a good indicator that a nursing home has reliable quality controls in place. In the last area, this nursing home also was given an excellent short-term care grade, with an A-. This wrapped up a very strong profile. Our short-term care ratings are arguably most meaningful for individuals in need of a nursing home for rehabilitation. Rehabilitation typically mandates more skilled nursing. Skilled nursing includes not only nursing services, but also physical and speech therapy, as well as other variations of therapy. This nursing home employs both physical therapists and registered nurses. Not all facilities employ these skilled professionals. Lastly, we assessed the number of patients that ultimately returned home from this facility. It performed better than most nursing homes in this area with 53.9 percent of its patients returning home.
