An additional quality feature for this facility is that it was awarded an impressive short-term care grade. Indeed, this ended up being its second best category score. In this category, we awarded this nursing home a B+. Short-term care ratings are crucial for individuals needing rehabilitation. Rehabilitation generally requires more skilled nursing. This means a vast scope of services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that this facility provided information on registered nurse or physical therapist staffing. The final metric we assessed in this category is the number of patients who were able to leave the facility and return to the community. It was respectable in this area with 46.6 percent of its residents returning home.

The final category we assessed was long-term care. This facility was awarded a C in the category. Our long-term care grade is generally used to score a facility's performance as a traditional nursing home, as opposed to focusing on the skilled nursing services provided by a skilled nursing facility. After assessing the volume of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we then looked at the facility's vaccination statistics. This facility vaccinated 100 percent of its residents for pneumonia, which is better than most nursing homes. This place was able to keep its residents out of the hospital. It had just 1.53 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days.
