Facility Inspections
To go along with its strong overall grade, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A+ for our inspections rating. Our inspection grades are tied to several pieces of information located in the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Facilities that receive favorable grades in this category tend to have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these places should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. While this facility had a few deficiencies on its inspection report, none of them were serious based on CMS' scale. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.
Short-term Care Quality
To complement its first-rate assessments in other areas, we gave this nursing home a grade of A for its short-term care score. Short-term care ratings are critical for residents needing rehabilitation. Rehabilitation usually mandates higher levels of skilled nursing. Skilled nursing includes a wide scope of services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and respiratory therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this facility employs registered nurses. Not all nursing homes employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, based on the data this nursing home provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Finally, we assessed the percentage of residents who eventually returned home from this facility. We found that 5.4 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home.

Nurse Quality
To complement its strong performance in other areas, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A+ for our inspections rating. Our nursing grade features a variety of factors. The most important one is the number of hours nurses spent with residents. This facility provided 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing grades. This place performed very well when it comes to avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.
Long-term Care Quality
In our final category, we gave this nursing home a grade of A+ for our long-term care score. This finished off a first-rate report card. Nursing homes that excel in this category typically provide patients with better supervision and stay on top of routine healthcare services. In addition to looking at the quantity of care provided by nurses and other staff, we analyzed the number of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. This nursing home administered the vaccine to 100 percent of its residents, which is what we like to see. Pneumonia tragically can be a dangerous health condition for nursing home residents so we strongly prefer when a nursing home does not leave this to chance. Finally, this nursing home was able to limit hospitalizations. Indeed, it had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
