To go along with its strong overall grade, we awarded this nursing home a grade of A+ for its nursing grade. Nursing ratings are based in large part on quantity of nursing care available. This facility offers 3.4 hours of nursing care per resident each day, of which more than an hour was provided by registered nurses. This is one of the more highly skilled levels of nurses. In computing our nursing scores, we add more significance to hours provided by registered nurses. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality-based metrics in determining our nursing grades. This place performed very well in the area of minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

This nursing home also received a nearly flawless government inspection. As a result, it received one of our highest scores in that category with an A+. This is one of the few nursing homes to receive multiple A+'s. Our inspection ratings are based on pieces of information located in the a nursing home's government inspections. Nursing homes that receive favorable grades in this area typically have very few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these facilities generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. This particular nursing home had just a single deficiency on its inspection report and it was not one deemed to pose a threat to patient health or safety. Even some of the best nursing homes receive an occasional ding on their inspection report.

The next area we scored was long-term care. In this category, we gave this nursing home a strong grade of B.
