Facility Inspections
While we did not rate this nursing home favorably overall, we want to point out its relatively solid government inspections in recent years. We gave it a respectable grade of B+ in this area, which is much better than its overall score. We take several aspects of a facility's inspection report into consideration in calculating these inspection scores. One critical factor is health deficiencies. You should keep in mind that the severity of the deficiencies is arguably more meaningful than the quantity of deficiencies, as some of these are relatively minor. This particular nursing home had just a single deficiency on its inspection report and it was not one deemed to pose a threat to patient health or safety. In spite of this deficiency, this place still had a relatively positive report.
Long-term Care Quality
We also gave this nursing home a decent score in the area of long-term care, where we gave it a B-. In determining our long-term care ratings, we assess the personal care offered to the nursing home's residents. One of the criteria we considered after nurse's aid hours is vaccines. Fortunately, this facility provided the pneumonia vaccine to 97.2973 percent of its residents. Finally, this nursing home was also able to limit hospitalizations. It had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.

Short-term Care Quality
Moving on to the category of short-term care, this nursing home received a grade of just D in that area. In crafting our short-term care grades, we assess the facility's skilled nursing services, such as those performed by registered nurses, respiratory therapists, physical therapists and other types of skilled professionals. Our purpose is to devise a scale for comparing the rehabilitation services of different facilities. Given its grade in this area, we were not surprised to find that this place was well below average in terms of the quantity of registered nurse and physical therapy hours provided to its residents based on the measures we assessed. Frankly, this was about what we expected here. Lastly, we looked at the percentage of patients that who were able to eventually return home from this nursing home. This nursing home didn't fare well here either. In fact, we found that just 0 percent of this facility's patients were able to return home. This figure was well off the national average.
Nurse Quality
Switching gears to our next category, this nursing home didn't fare very well here either. With a poor grade of F in nursing, this is really as terrible as it gets. Our nursing grade is based on quite a few factors, many of which are tied to quantities of nurse staffing. This place provided just 0.2 hours of nursing care per patient daily. This is not a very impressive figure. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality-based metrics in calculating our nursing grades. This nursing home performed well when it comes to minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls.
