To pair with a favorable overall grade, we gave this facility an A+ for our inspections rating. Our inspection ratings are tied to many datapoints found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes that excel in this area have very few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these facilities generally do not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with risks to patient safety. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that we have information on deficiency's for this nursing home. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

One of the other reasons we graded this nursing home so highly is that it received a very impressive nursing score. In fact, nursing turned out to be its second best category grade. In that area, we gave this nursing home an A. Nursing scores are primarily associated with the nursing home's level of nurse staffing. This nursing home averages 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also looked at some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This nursing home performed very well in terms of minimizing its residents' major falls and pressure ulcers. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

We also would like to emphasize the fact that this nursing home received a superb score of A in our long-term care category. Nursing homes that excel in long-term care typically provide patients with better supervision and stay on top of routine medical care. After considering the amount of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we turned to the nursing home's vaccination record. This facility vaccinated 99.6063 percent of its residents against pneumonia, which is significantly higher than most nursing homes. Lastly, this nursing home was able to limit hospitalizations. Indeed, it had less than one hospitalization per one thousand long-term resident days, which is an impressively low number.

In our last category, this facility also received an excellent short-term care score, with a B+. This topped off a very impressive profile. Our short-term care grade is typically employed to assess a nursing home's rehabilitation services. In order to provide good rehabilitation services, nursing homes generally need to offer better levels of highly skilled nursing. Skilled nursing includes registered nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists and other licensed professionals. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home employs registered nurses. Not all nursing homes employs these types of nurses. On the other hand, based on the data this nursing home provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. The final metric we considered in this area is the percentage of patients that who were able to eventually return home from the facility. We found that 4.8 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home as opposed to remaining at the nursing home on a permanent basis.
