Although we gave this place a terrible overall score, we gave it a B+ for our inspections category. This is the result of the facility receiving a quality government inspection report this year. Our inspection scores are tied to several pieces of information found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Deficiencies are a key item to look for on these reports. Most importantly, you should avoid nursing homes that have severe deficiencies linked to endangerment of patients. While this place had a few deficiencies on its government inspection report, none of them were serious based on CMS' scale. A couple minor deficiencies are not necessarily the end of the world.

This facility's second most favorable category is long-term care, but it nevertheless received a grade of just D in that area. This still happens to be a relatively poor score. For residents in need of a permanent place to live as opposed to rehabilitation, long-term care grades are very important. After looking at the quantity of care provided by nurses and other staff, we next considered the nursing home's vaccination data. We were pleased to discover that this facility vaccinated 100 percent of its patients against pneumonia. To our surprise, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0.01 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this nursing home had less hospitalizations than the majority of nursing homes. Unfortunately, some of its other scores in this category weren't as favorable as these.
