Facility Inspections

Grade: A

On top of being a top notch nursing home overall, this place also performed well in the area of inspections, where it earned an A. Few facilities performed better in this category. Inspection scores are tied to many items found on the a nursing home's recent inspection reports. Places that receive favorable grades in this area typically have very few deficiencies on their reports. Most importantly, these facilities should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. While this facility had some minor dings on its inspection report, it had no severe deficiencies. Severe deficiencies are labeled as categories G through L. This tells you the government inspectors did not deem any of the deficiencies on this facility's report to pose an imminent threat to patient safety or health. We should note that deficiency-free inspection reports are uncommon in the industry.

Nurse Quality

Grade: B-plus

One of the other reasons we graded this facility so highly is that it earned a very impressive nursing grade. Nursing proved to be its second best category grade. In that area, we gave this nursing home a grade of B+. Our nursing rating is mostly associated with a nursing home's level of nurse staffing. This particular nursing home provided 0 hours of nursing care per resident per day. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This facility performed very well in the area of minimizing its residents' pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: B-plus

Additionally, this nursing home also received favorable short-term care scores in our assessment. Indeed, we gave it one of our more favorable grades in that area, with a score of B+. Our short-term care scores are probably most important for patients requiring rehabilitation from their nursing home. Rehabilitation usually requires more skilled nursing services. Skilled nursing means not just nursing services, but also physical and speech therapy, as well as other forms of therapy. Unfortunately, we weren't able to find information on registered nurse or physical therapy staffing for this nursing home. The final datapoint we assessed in this category is the percentage of patients who were able to leave the nursing home and return to the community. We found that 5.4 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: B-plus

In the final category we looked at, this facility was given an impressive grade grade of B+ in our long-term care category. With this score, the facility wrapped up a very impressive report card. Facilities that do well in long-term care typically provide residents with more supervision and stay on top of routine healthcare services. On top of looking at the amount of care provided by nurses and other staff, we analyzed the percentage of residents vaccinated against pneumonia. This nursing home vaccinated 97.674416 percent of its patients, which is very impressive. Pneumonia tragically can be a deadly health condition for nursing home residents so we prefer when a facility does not take any chances. Finally, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
