With a population of 50,025 people, Mount Pleasant, Michigan is a relatively small city. There are only 3 nursing homes there, which doesn't provide you with too many options to choose from. With a city grade of B, this city's nursing homes turned out to be respectable options. For comparison's sake, we also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of Midland, which received a city grade of C. We found Mount Pleasant to be slightly better. This city's strong report card was highlighted by its nursing homes' short-term care scores, which we will address in the next paragraph.
On top of receiving a favorable overall grade, this city received an impressive short-term care grade. In fact, we awarded Mount Pleasant a grade of B+ in this category. Cities with these types of short-term care ratings usually have plenty of facilities with physical therapy, occupational therapy and other services associated with rehabilitation. Mount Pleasant also fared well in the category of nursing with a grade of B+. Rounding out its report card, we awarded the city grades of B+ and D for our inspections and long-term care areas respectively. Despite its concerning long-term care grade, the rest of this city's category scores were great.
