There are three nursing homes in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, which at least gives you a few choices. We awarded the nursing homes here a strong city grade of B+. Even with only a couple of facilities, this is still a great sign. By way of comparison, we awarded the nursing homes in the local city of Saginaw a city grade of B, which is also a very good grade. Nevertheless, we found the facilities in Mount Pleasant to be a better option than the ones in Saginaw. Fortunately, this place did not have any weak links in any of the major categories discussed below. Additional information about its category grades is available in the next section.
On top of having quality nursing homes on the whole, this city really excelled in the area of inspections, where it received an A. Few cities fared this well in this category. Arguably the most significant factor we consider in determining our inspection scores is deficiencies. These deficiencies can be found on a facility's inspection reports. Nursing homes with better grades in this category typically avoided the most severe deficiencies involving patient abuse or death. In addition, Mount Pleasant also fared well in the area of health nursing with a B+. In the other categories we looked at, this place received middle of the pack grades for our short-term care and long-term care categories.
