With 3,418 people, Clinton, Kentucky is a small city. There are only 2 nursing homes there, which doesn't give you too many options. This place's limited supply of nursing homes were given a city grade of B. We also looked at the nursing homes in Paducah, which received a city grade of B-. Although this is a respectable grade, Clinton appears to be a better bet. This city's nursing homes were stronger in some categories than others, but it didn't have any poor grades in any of the major categories. Additional information about these categories is available in the next paragraph.
This city's nursing homes received a strong overall grade, but we especially wanted to point out that some of the city's facilities received virtually perfect health inspections in recent years. We gave Clinton an elite grade of A for this area. Arguably the most critical factor we look at in calculating our inspection ratings is deficiencies. Deficiencies are found on a nursing home's inspection reports. Places with higher grades in this category most likely avoided the more severe deficiencies involving patient abuse or death. In addition, we also awarded Clinton an A- in our long-term care category. Lastly, Clinton received slightly below average grades for our nursing and short-term care areas.
