There are two facilities in Albany, Georgia, so at least you have a few options. This city's nursing homes received a very good city grade of B+, so what this city lacks in quantity, it makes up for by having high quality nursing homes. For comparison's sake, we also looked at the facilities in the nearby city of Tifton, which received a city grade of C. We found Albany to be a far better option. This city's profile is also very consistent as it didn't receive a single weak category grade either. You can find more information about these in the next paragraph.
To pair with its strong overall grade, we awarded Albany an A+ for our inspections category. Perhaps the most important factor we consider in determining our inspection grades is deficiencies. Deficiencies are found on a facility's recent inspection reports. Nursing homes with better grades in this area most likely avoided the more severe deficiencies involving things like patient abuse. Albany also earned one of our higher grades in our nursing category, with a B. In the other categories we looked at, Albany earned a B in our long-term care category and a B- in the area of short-term care.
