This city's nursing homes received an excellent city grade of B+, so what this city lacks in quantity, it makes up for by having high quality nursing homes. In fact, Anchorage turned out to be the second best city in Alaska according to our ratings. The best part of Anchorage's impressive profile was its nursing homes' short-term care scores. On top of having excellent nursing homes on the whole, this city really excelled in our short-term care category where we gave it a grade of A. Few cities fared this well in this category. With a short-term care score of this caliber we'd expect the majority of the facilities here to offer high levels of physical and occupational therapy staffing. Anchorage also performed spectacularly well in our nursing category, with a grade of A- for this area. Rounding out its quality profile, we awarded the city strong grades for our inspections and long-term care categories as well.
