One of the reasons this proved to be a quality nursing home is that it received a very impressive short-term care score. Short-term care turned out to be its best category. In that category, we gave this nursing home a grade of A. In our short-term care grade, we strive to create a meaningful measure for rehabilitation services. In doing so, we analyze a nursing home's scope of skilled nursing services, including both registered nurses and physical therapy, as well as occupational therapy. This nursing home is respectable both in terms of its quantity of physical therapy and registered nurse hours provided to its residents. The final datapoint we assessed in this category is the percentage of residents who were able to leave the nursing home and return to the community. This facility provided just 3.1 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a relatively low total compared to most other facilities.
