We also wanted to emphasize the fact that this facility excelled in our nursing rating. We awarded them an impressive grade of A+ in this category. Our nursing grade is mostly tied to a nursing home's nurse staffing. This nursing home offers 3.5 hours of nursing care per patient on a daily basis, of which more than an hour of those were provided by registered nurses. This is one of the most highly trained levels of nurses. In determining our nursing grades, we attach more weight to hours performed by registered or licensed nurses. Lastly, we also looked at some nursing quality measures in determining our nursing grades. This place performed very well in terms of avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be good indicators of the quality of nursing care.
