Facility Inspections
While we graded this facility incredibly poorly overall, it received a fairly respectable inspection report this year. As a result, it received a decent grade in that category with a score of B-. Our inspection scores weigh a host of factors found on a facility's inspection report. One key criteria we weigh heavily is the quantity and severity of deficiencies. Although this facility had some deficiencies on its report, none were major deficiencies based on CMS' deficiency scale. A couple minor deficiencies are not necessarily the end of the world.
Short-term Care Quality
This nursing home also didn't grade out poorly in the area of short-term care. In fact, we gave it a grade of C in that category, which turned out to be another one of its better scores. Short-term care grades are based in part on the facility's quantity of skilled skilled healthcare professionals. This means a wide scope of services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, as well as other forms of therapy. In this facility's case, we were surprised to learn that it actually provides less registered nurse and physical therapist hours per patient than the average facility. The final metric we considered in this area is the number of residents that returned home from the facility. We found that just 0 percent of this facility's patients returned home.

Nurse Quality
Unfortunately, this facility only received a grade of D for its nursing grade, which was actually one of its better category grades. There are numerous subcategories within this category. Many of the datapoints relate to the quantity of nurse staffing. This facility provided just 0.3 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is an alarmingly low total. Finally, we also looked at some nursing quality-based metrics in computing our nursing grades. This place performed well in the area of avoiding major falls and pressure ulcers.
Long-term Care Quality
The last category we scored is long-term care. It received a lowly F for this category, which is a rock bottom score. When nursing homes receive this kind of grade in this category it is a bad sign for resident care and it may mean that the place is not as well-staffed. After considering the volume of care provided by nurses and other staff, we then analyzed the nursing home's vaccination records. This facility vaccinated 90.90909 percent of its patients against pneumonia, which happens to be slightly below what we anticipated but still a decent percentage. To our surprise, this place was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0.02 hospitalizations per one thousand long-term resident days, this facility has less hospitalizations than the average nursing home. This is its best feature in this category.
