Our data for Bellmore, New York is based on a single nursing home we found there. We were relieved to discover that its only nursing home received an excellent overall grade of A+. In fact, Bellmore is one of the top 25 cities in the entire country. This is just an incredible accolade. In addition to performing well in its overall grade, this city's sole nursing home performed remarkably well in our inspections category. In fact, it received a nearly flawless inspection report this year. Consequently, we awarded it one of our best grades in that area with an A+. We weigh several aspects of a nursing home's inspection report in computing our inspection scores. One of those factors is deficiencies. It should be noted that the severity of the deficiencies is arguably more meaningful than the number of deficiencies, as some of these can be relatively minor. This city also performed remarkably well in our short-term care category, where we gave it an A+.
