This facility provided just 0.4 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a relatively low total compared to most other facilities. Many consider these areas to be reliable measures of the quality of nursing care. In many cases, the quality of nursing care is as important as the quantity of hours of care provided.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: C

This nursing home's next most favorable area is long-term care. We awarded it a C in this area. This is basically a middle of the road grade in this category. Long-term care scores are essential for prospective residents requiring non-healthcare services such as personal care. After considering the volume of care provided by nurses aids and other staff, we turned to the facility's vaccination statistics. We were concerned by the fact that this facility vaccinated a relatively low 72.66436 percent of its residents for pneumonia. On a more positive note, this facility was able to limit hospitalizations. Indeed, it had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is an impressively low figure.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: C

The final area we assessed was short-term care. In that category, we awarded this nursing home a C. Short-term care ratings are crucial for individuals seeking rehabilitation. Rehabilitation usually requires more highly-skilled nursing. Skilled nursing means a wide scope of nursing services, spanning from registered nurses to physical and speech therapists, as well as other types of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this nursing home has registered nurses on staff. Not all facilities employs these skilled professionals. However, according to the information they provided, it does not look like the facility employs physical therapists. Lastly, we considered the percentage of patients who ultimately returned home from this facility. We found that 4.4 percent of this facility's residents were able to return home. This figure was quite a bit below average.
