Short-term Care Quality

Grade: A

We also wanted to emphasize that this facility earned an impressive grade of A in our short-term care category. Our short-term care ratings are based on a facility's quantity of skilled highly skilled professionals. This includes a broad spectrum of nursing services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, as well as other forms of therapy. Fortunately, it appear that this facility employs registered nurses. Not all facilities employs these skilled professionals. On the other hand, according to the data they provided, they do not appear to employ physical therapists. The final measure we looked at in this category is the number of residents who were able to leave the facility and return to the community. We discovered that 5.4 percent of this nursing home's patients were able to return home.

Facility Inspections

Grade: A

Adding to its impressive category scores, this nursing home also excelled in the category of inspections, where it received a grade of A. Not many nursing homes performed as well in this area. Our inspection ratings are based on items found on the a nursing home's recent government inspections. Places that score well in this category have very few deficiencies on those reports. Most importantly, these nursing homes should not have any severe deficiencies which are associated with endangerment of patients. While this facility had some deficiencies on its report, none were major deficiencies based on CMS' deficiency scale. Finally, this facility had no substantiated complaints this year from residents, which is an excellent sign.

Long-term Care Quality

This nursing home also received a very strong long-term care score. In fact, this ended up being its third strongest category grade. In that category, we awarded this facility a grade of A-. In a long-term care setting, the primary objective is to maintain patients' quality of life and keep them safe. Once we finished looking at the amount of nursing care, we next considered the facility's vaccination record. This facility vaccinated 85.945946 percent of its patients for pneumonia. While its vaccination rate was a bit lower than we hoped for, we were pleased to find place was able to limit hospitalizations.
