These inspection grades take several factors into consideration, including deficiencies and federal fines. While this nursing home had some deficiencies on its report, none were serious based on CMS' scale. A couple minor dings aren't something to panic about.

Nurse Quality

This nursing home's next best category was nursing. We awarded it a grade of B- in this category. This is basically a middle of the road grade in this category. Our nursing grade is based on the facility's nurse staffing levels. We consider both the levels of training of those nurses as well as the number of hours spent with patients. This nursing home provides 0 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is a much lower figure than we are used to seeing. Lastly, despite not having the most impressive total nursing hours, this place performed admirably in the area of preventing major falls. This is often an indicator that a nursing home has sufficient quality controls in place.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: B-minus

The last category we graded was long-term care. We gave this nursing home a grade of B- in this category. If you are looking for services other than rehabilitation, you should take a close look at long-term care scores. After looking at the amount of care provided by nurses and other staff, we then analyzed the nursing home's vaccination data. Unfortunately, this nursing home vaccinated only 89.03226 percent of its residents for pneumonia. Fortunately, this place was able to limit hospitalizations. In fact, it had less than one hospitalization per 1,000 long-term resident days, which is a remarkably low number.
