Nurse Quality

Grade: F

Unfortunately, we gave this facility some really poor grades. Among them were its F for its nursing grade. When computing a nursing home's nursing rating, we assess the quantity of hours nurses are caring for residents as well as the level of licensure of those nurses. This facility provided 0.1 hours of nursing care per resident per day. This is below the national average. Lastly, we also assessed some nursing quality measures in calculating our nursing scores. This place performed well when it comes to avoiding pressure ulcers and major falls. We consider these areas to be indicators of the quality of nursing care.

Facility Inspections

Grade: F

Unfortunately, this nursing home received an F for its inspection grade. This is a very important category. Grades in this range typically point to some red flags on the facility's inspection reports. You should pay close attention to any deficiencies on a nursing home's inspection reports when it receives this poor of an inspection rating. We suggest you pay close attention to the severity of those deficiencies. This particular nursing home was hit with 6 deficiencies on its inspection report. The only favorable thing we can say is that none of these deficiencies were in the categories that suggest they posed a risk to resident health or safety. Finally, this facility was cited by CMS for possible abuse or neglect. We would not recommend this facility under any circumstance.

Short-term Care Quality

Grade: F

The next area we looked at was short-term care. This facility's was given an unfortunate short-term care grade where it was given a lowly F. Short-term care ratings are based in part on a facility's quantity of skilled nursing services. This means a vast scope of services, ranging from registered nurses to physical and occupational therapists, not to mention other variations of therapy. Considering its poor rating in this category, we were not surprised to discover that this facility provides significantly fewer registered nurse and physical therapist hours per patient than most other facilities. Lastly, we assessed the number of residents who were able to return to the community from this facility. This wasn't a strength for this nursing home. We found that just 0 percent of this nursing home's patients returned home. At most nursing homes, about half of their patients are able to return home so this is well below average.

Long-term Care Quality

Grade: F

Turning to our next category, this nursing home did not perform very well here either. With a very poor grade of F in long-term care, this is about as bad as it gets. Facilities that do not score well in this category often don't provide as much nursing care and also may be lagging in some of the areas of routine personal care we looked at. Once we looked at the volume of care provided by aids and other staff, we then analyzed the facility's vaccination statistics. We were somewhat surprised to discover that this nursing home vaccinated just 85.44061 percent of its residents against pneumonia. To our surprise, this nursing home was actually able to limit hospitalizations. With just 0 hospitalizations per 1,000 long-term resident days, this facility had less hospitalizations than the average nursing home. This is its best score in this category.
